Body:	FAIRFAX, VIRGINA ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a re-compete contract to assist the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Bureau for Global Health to implement the seventh round of the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS-7) Project. The contract has a value of up to $189 million and a term of five years. Under this contract, ICF will continue to carry out the project and assist USAID to: Collect, analyze, and present population, health, and nutrition data in more than 75 countries Facilitate the use of these data for planning, policymaking, and program management Build capacity among in-country institutions and individuals to respond to national and subnational data needs "We are very proud and honored to continue working with USAID on the DHS-7 contract," said Sunita Kishor, senior program director for ICF International. "In an era of scarce resources, high-quality data are essential for developing successful and effective programs in developing countries. Long recognized as the gold standard of survey research in developing countries, the DHS project was first established by USAID in 1984. Since then, the project has helped implement more than 300 surveys in more than 90 countries.
